What changed

  • Cover images and listing copy are scanned for compliance.
  • Listings that fail image, claim or category checks can be removed or demoted, and shops can be frozen.
  • Origin and ingredient claims must be truthful and supported by evidence.
  • Creators cannot imply clinical outcomes a product cannot demonstrate, including on LIVE.
  • Absolute price claims on LIVE, such as “the cheapest anywhere”, are prohibited.
  • Political content in promotions and sympathy-based selling are banned.

What beauty brands should watch

Words like “clinically proven”, “cures” or “permanent” need evidence on file, and some need to go entirely. Describe what the product does cosmetically, such as hydrates, smooths or brightens, rather than medical outcomes.

What supplement brands should watch

No cure, treat or prevent claims, and no promised results. Creators can share their experience and approved benefits, but not clinical outcomes.

How to brief creators safely

  1. Give every creator a short claim bank: what they can say, and what they cannot.
  2. Review the first video from each new creator before amplifying it with ads.
  3. Check LIVE scripts for price and health claims before going live.
  4. Keep evidence on file for every claim on your listing.
